How we test: true side-by-side

Multiple drones mounted side-by-side on a single tripod rig, pointed at the Frankfurt skyline at sunset
All drones on one rig, capturing the exact same scene at the exact same moment.

Every image in the slider above was captured with the drones sitting side by side on a tripod — not in flight. Each camera is mounted on the same rig, aimed at the same subject, and triggered together.

Flying introduces too many variables: wind, gimbal micro-movements, slightly different framing, and light that changes between takes. Locking everything to a tripod eliminates those variables and guarantees that any difference you see comes from the sensor, lens and image pipeline — nothing else.

  • Identical framing, focal distance and perspective
  • Same light, captured simultaneously
  • No gimbal drift or flight-induced motion
  • Manufacturer default settings, no post-processing
